AMERICAN LEGION BENEFITS
Any active Bremer County American Legion members, American Legion Auxiliary members, or any Sons of the American Legion members who were impacted by the recent floods are encouraged to attend an informational meeting today (Thursday, June 19th ) at Trinity United Methodist Church (1400 West Bremer Avenue) in Waverly at 11:00AM. Until 6:30 P.M.
The purpose of this meeting is to share information and to complete applications for possible assistance grants that may be available for active members impacted by the flooding in Bremer County. All qualifying members are encouraged to attend this meeting.
FEMA DISASTER RECOVERY CENTER NOW OPEN
FEMA has now opened a Disaster Recovery Center in Bremer County. The center is located at the Waverly-Shell Rock High School, in the “Commons Area” at 1415 4th Avenue SW. All Bremer County residents impacted by flooding are encouraged to meet with FEMA, even if they contacted FEMA by telephone, to assure their information was received and their applications are complete.
The FEMA Disaster Recovery Center will be open 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM seven days per week until further notice.
