CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The power is back on for more than 2,000 eastern Iowans who were in the dark early Thursday.
Around 5:05 a.m., power was off for much of southwest side of Cedar Rapids, mainly in the Czech Village area.
The power was restored around 6:40 a.m.
Ryan Stensland, a spokesperson for Alliant Energy, said the company believed a lightning strike caused the outage.
