When you call and register with FEMA (numbers at left) you will then be contacted by a FEMA inspector. And remember you can also register online at www.fema.gov.

That FEMA inspector will call you within days of you registering. Then that inspector will assess your damage.

Home owners and home renters can get up to $28,800 dollars for flood damage.

Remember to fill out a Small Business Administration application as well. That is an essential step in the FEMA process, and it could make you eligible for a low interest loan.

Home owners and renters can both get a low interest loan up to $40,000 dollars for your furniture and other personal items. And home owners could get up to a $200,000 loan to repair or restore their home.

Also, if you don't have access yet to your home, the FEMA inspector calling will arrange to meet with you in a public place to discuss your situation.
