Dubuque, IA, June 13, 2008 – The American Red Cross is responding to the ongoing needs of those impacted by severe flooding in Winneshiek and Clayton counties. The following services will be offered today:
CLAYTON COUNTY
• Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served by Red Cross volunteers and community members at Elkader Central Community School, 400 1st St NW. Food has been donated by Johnson’s Restaurant & Reception Hall.
• Clean-up kits will be available at the Elkader Fire Department, 209 S Main Street this afternoon.
WINNESHIEK COUNTY
• Client casework will begin this morning. Red Cross volunteers will be conducting outreach street-by-street in Decorah, Freeport, Fort Atkinson and surrounding areas beginning this morning. An exact time has yet to be determined as to when client casework will begin due to extensive road closures in the region.
• Clean-up kits are available at the Decorah Fire Department, 400 W Clairborne Drive.
