Mercy Hospital No Longer Accepting Patients
CEDAR RAPIDS - Mercy Hospital is no longer accepting patients due to rising water levels. The current water level is 3 ½ feet on the Lundy Pavilion side of the hospital. Sand bagging efforts are currently underway with no plans for evacuation at this time. Access to the hospital is through the north Hallmar entrance only. Medically fragile individuals who have been evacuated to shelters will be triaged at the shelters. St. Luke's Emergency Department is currently open but very busy. Officials ask that routine medical needs wait for primary care phsyicians on Friday.
