Caught on Tape: House Destroyed by Tornado

PARKERSBURG - An ATM surveillance camera from First State Bank in Parkersburg caught this amazing footage of a house being destroyed by the deadly May 25th EF-5 tornado. The person who lives here was home at the time and was not injured.

It is video from the ATM machine in the bank's drive up. This shows the house across the street being hit by another roof and then having it's own roof torn off.

The man who lives here didn't want to say anything about the video, but once again, he is doing fine and preparing to move on.

On May 25th, severe weather caused at least six tornadoes in eastern Iowa. The most damaging one wiped out hundreds of homes in Parkersburg, Hazleton, Dunkerton, and New Hartford. Seven people died. It was the strongest tornado to hit Iowa in more than 30 years.
