UNI to Host Tornado Benefit

CEDAR FALLS - The University of Northern Iowa and Gallagher-Bluedorn will present a concert to benefit tornado relief efforts next Tuesday, June 3, 2008, beginning at 7 p.m. at the Gallagher-Bluedorn Performing Arts Center.
Scheduled performers include The Blue Band, Checker and the Bluetones, Jason Rich and the Salsa Band. These artists are donating their talent and time for the
benefit.
Tickets are $15 per person. Free tickets will be given to anyone who has been impacted by the tornado. Those affected just need to call the ticket office to request complimentary tickets.
“UNI and the Gallagher-Bluedorn are proud to support our fellow citizens in this time of challenge,” said Steve Carignan, Assistant Vice President for Educational and Sports Event Center Management. “The Gallagher-Bluedorn is responding to this tragedy with what the arts do best, bringing people together and building community.”
