One Killed, Others Injured in Dubuque Crash

By Becky Ogann

DUBUQUE - At least one person was killed and several people were injured when a car and pick-up truck collided on Friday afternoon.

It happened at the intersection of Hwy 61 and Merlin Lane around 4:30 p.m.

A witness says the driver of the pick-up truck had a lawn-mower in the back of the truck. The impact of the crash sent that lawn mower flying through the air. It landed about 50 feet away from the truck.

The names of the victims are not yet being released.

Thank you for your kind words. He was a great brother and a devoted father. There was not a mean bone in his body. He found some good in everything. The family is hurting but we know that Jim is watching over us now and his kind heart has earned him a free pass to live with the Lord

Thank you all for your condolences. It is striking the family hard as we were all gathering in dubuque for a wedding. Now to think of funeral arrangements is horrible.
