POSTVILLE - Agriprocessors is working hard to replace the detained workers. A public relations firm working for the company says Agriprocessors is also talking with immigration experts to improve its hiring practices.

A company representative says it has signed up for a government electronic verification program to "bolster compliance efforts to employ only documented employees."

The company says the Postville plant is not operating at full capacity right now, but it is still in production.

Agriprocessors is one of the largest producers of kosher meat and poultry products in the country.
