POSTVILLE - Businesses in Postville are working to bounce back after Monday's raid. Town leaders say that task will be tough, but they will make it happen.

People living here in Postville have differing opinions about what the future holds. But the Chamber of Commerce is adamant in saying this town will survive.

On Thursday morning, board members met to talk about ways to get the word out that businesses along main street are still serving customers.

Of the 75 or so businesses in town, the Chamber says only a handful still have a closed sign hanging in the window. And a town of this size, about 2,500 people, is lucky to have that many businesses.

While the Chamber is not overlooking the fact that it won't be easy getting the businesses back to full force, town leaders are taking steps to keep Postville alive and growing.

"Right now, they are trying to find alternative workforce. They are contacting the governor and several government agencies to try to find workers to provide the least amount of disruption to this community," said Christina Drahos, Chamber of Commerce.

The Chamber says in a town with this much diversity they are used to hanging together and in this instance it will be no different.
