POSTVILLE - After the Postville immigration raid, many of the children affected are now taking sanctuary at a Postville church.

The superintendent says 1/3 of his elementary students weren't in class. Most of those missing students were at the shelter at St. Bridget's Catholic Church or at their own homes.

Some of the high school students are now looking after the younger kids.

After studying history, one student compared this to being in Germany in World War II.

"I feel like a Jew in the second world war. The exception is they aren't killing anybody, but they are destroying the families," said Jonathan, a Postville H.S. student.
