Muscatine Homicide Victim Named

MUSCATINE - Officials have identified the body found in Muscatine on Tuesday.

The Muscatine Sheriff's Department identified the man as Isidro Gomez, Jr., 27, of Muscatine. He was identified through fingerprint analysis and dental records. Gomez was reported missing on December 17th, 2007. The cause of death has not been released.

Gomez's body was discovered on Funk’s Hill Road between Burlington Road and County Road G28. The case is being worked as a homicide and the investigation continues.

Officials request that anyone with any information regarding this homicide contact Detective Mike Bailey with the Sheriff’s Office or Detective Mark Lawrence with the Muscatine Police Department at 263-6055.
