Tama County Residents Vote on Local Option Sales Tax

TAMA COUNTY - Tama County is asking voters to extend a local option sales tax.

The tax is currently set to expire in July of 2014.

The Gazette reports voters are being asked to renew the tax until December 31st of 2022.

The money can be used for school construction and repair, technology, and to pay toward long term loans.

Polls open Tuesday at 7 a.m.
