VICTOR - Thursday night's storms prompted several tornado warnings. It's not clear how many actual tornadoes developed. But there were several reports near the small Iowa County town of Victor.
Friday night the National Weather Service confirmed a tornado touched down at least from Barnes City to near Guernsey. KCRG TV9 Meterologist Lance Ryan says it's safe to say that same tornado is what damaged homes near Victor.
C.J and Susan Kruse are not sure if the house they’ve called home for six years can be saved.
The National Weather Service is still determining if it was a tornado that caused the damage here. Neighbors say the Kruse's were the hardest hit in the area. While it's up for debate, C.J. says this had to have been caused by a tornado.
“It's amazing, it moved the whole house north, a lot of power,” said C.J. Kruse, homeowner.
Luckily the family was not at home when their house was hit, only their dogs and cat were there. The dogs are okay. Their cat is still missing. Insurance is putting them up, at least for the night.
