Authorities Release Name of Marshalltown Fire Victim

MARSHALLTOWN (AP) - Authorities have released the name of a Marshalltown man who died in a house fire.

The Marshalltown Fire Department says Chris Stackhouse died in Monday's fire that injured his 14-month-old grandson, Kevin Stackhouse Jr.

The boy was in critical condition at a Des Moines hospital on Tuesday.

Fire Chief Larry Squiers says eight people were living in the house. The others were checked or treated at area hospitals.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
