Fire Damages Golf Carts in Western Iowa

COUNCIL BLUFFS (AP) - Burning up the links is one thing, but burning up the golf carts is another.

Over a dozen golf carts were destroyed and several others were damaged Sunday in a shed fire at the Logan-Missouri Valley Country Club in Logan in western Iowa.

Five fire departments responded. Officials estimate firefighters poured about 10,000 gallons of water on the fire.

The shed housed about 60 golf carts.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
