Iowa City Police Investigate Robbery

IOWA CITY - Iowa City police say a woman was robbed at knife point early Sunday morning.

Officers responded to a robbery report in the 600 block of S. Dubuque Street just before 5 a.m.

After speaking with the victim, police found out that a man armed with a knife approached her from behind, took her to a secluded area and demanded money.

The suspect threatened to kill the victim if she called police, before taking off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a black male, six feet tall and wearing a grey or light colored jacket.

Anyone with any information is asked to call Iowa City Crimestoppers at 358-TIPS.
