Semi Falls from I-380 onto 1st Ave NW

CEDAR RAPIDS - A semi crashed on northbound I-380 in Cedar Rapids on Monday around 2:55pm. The accident left the trailer dangling off I-380 and the tractor down below on 1st Ave NW.

Traffic is restricted to one lane near the 1st Street exit ramp at milepost 19.8. Traffic was not restricted initially. Travelers are urged to use caution in these areas. The Iowa DOT says traffic will return to normal conditions around 8 p.m. Monday night.

Our crew on the scene says despite how bad it looks, there were only minor injuries. The tractor/trailer semi was the only vehicle involved.
