CEDAR RAPIDS - The warm weather made for a very sweet Sunday at Indian Creek Nature Center in Cedar Rapids.

Nearly 1,500 people attended the 25th Annual Maple Syrup Festival.

Volunteers made more than 40 gallons of syrup from sap tapped near the nature center.

Volunteers say it takes about 40 gallons of sap to make just one gallon of syrup.
