IOWA CITY - The sorority house destroyed during Iowa City's 2006 spring tornado is on schedule to open this fall.

Forty-six women will call the Alpha Chi Omega house home. They'll move in the furniture this summer.

The house is a LEED certified project. It has low emission carpeting and glue inside.

"Has to meet all the commercial building codes as well as being a residential structure so we've got ADA compliance, all kinds of energy efficiency requirements from the state. We've got parking requirements by the city," said Marsha Grady, house advisor.

The sorority is planning an open house in August.
