PELLA - It sounds like some kind of far-fetched movie plot line, but the regulars at one bar in the central Iowa town of Pella say it really happened.

There were about 20 people in the lounge of Doctor Salami's when a man walked in and bought everyone a round of drinks.

The manager says he then gave the waitress a $100 dollar tip.

But that wasn't all. Next, he stopped by a young couple's table and asked if they had children. They said yes and he put down a blank check and asked them to write down whatever amount they wanted.

Assuming it was a joke, they made out the check for $100,000. But it was no joke, the check cleared.

The couple is talking about whether to buy a different home, or build a new one.
