14 Companies Given Incentives to Create Jobs
DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) Fourteen companies have received state incentives to expand or locate in Iowa creating more than 270 jobs.
The Iowa Economic Development Authority approved Friday projects in a dozen communities including Eddyville, Council Bluffs, Davenport, and Sioux City.
Tax benefits were approved for Ajinomoto Heartland, a company making animal feed ingredients near Eddyville. It plans to spend $33 million introduce a new fermentation technology that will increase production.
Alter Trading, a scrap metal processor in Council Bluffs gets tax benefits for a $20 million expansion creating 15 jobs and Mid-American Glass will received tax breaks for a new building to expand operations in Davenport creating 13 jobs.
In Sioux City, Exoteric Analytics will receive a $25,000 grant to continue development of its monitoring and control system for seed corn producers.
