MARSHALLTOWN (AP) - A former Marshalltown coach will be sentenced later this month on a misdemeanor charge of sexual exploitation by a school employee.
Jeremy Hendricks, a former assistant wrestling coach, was accused of an inappropriate relationship with a student at Marshalltown High School. He was charged in 2005 with a felony.
According to court records, he entered an Alford plea to the lesser charge last month. That means he doesn't admit guilt, but acknowledges he would likely be found guilty if he went to trial.
Sentencing, which had been set for Monday in Marshall County District Court, has been delayed until January 30th.
