HAMPTON (AP) - A teaching assistant and assistant softball coach at Hampton-Dumont High School is accused of having sex with a student last summer.

Tyler Radcliffe of Hampton is charged with third-degree sexual abuse and sexual exploitation by a school employee.

Radcliffe has been on paid administrative leave since October when school officials learned of the alleged incident.

The charges were filed in Franklin County District Court last week. Radcliffe made his initial appearance in court Monday, where a preliminary hearing was waived.
