The City of Cedar Rapids has lifted the Boil Water Advisory that was issued on Wednesday, November 22, 2007. Testing has been completed in the affected area and laboratory results indicate that the water is safe to drink.
The advisory was issued as a precautionary measure after an incident during construction activities caused a short period of elevated turbidity.
Residents in some parts of the affected area may continue to experience cloudy or discolored water for the next several days due to piping disturbances associated with repair and flushing activities. We regret this inconvenience but stress that all laboratory testing indicates that the water is safe to drink.
