MUSCATINE (AP) - A woman who told authorities she was kidnapped and sexually assaulted has pleaded guilty to filing a false report.
Alexandra Zografos of Bedias, Texas, claimed in June that she was abducted in Illinois and forced to drive to rural Muscatine County, where she was assaulted.
Zografos, who pleaded guilty Monday, received a deferred judgment and ordered to undergo psychiatric evaluation and treatment.
Under a deferred judgment, the charge will be erased from her record if she successfully completes the terms of her sentencing.
