11 Johnson County Businesses Fail Alcohol Compliance Checks

JOHNSON COUNTY, Iowa - Eleven Johnson County businesses failed alcohol compliance checks conducted Thursday night.

According to the Johnson County Sheriff's Office, the businesses that failed the checks were:

- American Legion, Oxford
- Dawg House, Oxford
- Ol Roy's, Oxford
- Shuey's, Shueyville
- American Legion, Solon
- D & D Pizza, Solon
- Eastwood's, Solon
- Nomi's, Solon
- Sam's Main Street Market, Solon
- Casey's General Store, Tiffin
- Cedar Ridge Vineyards Winery, rural Johnson County

Seventeen businesses passed the compliance check, according to the sheriff's office.

The employee at each business that sold the alcohol to the minor was charged with providing alcohol to a person under the legal age, a simple misdemeanor.
