DUBUQUE, Iowa- People in Dubuque rode the bus for free today.
"The Jule" joined other public transportation services nationwide in participating in the eighth annual "Dump the Pump Day."

It's a day that encourages people to ditch their car and take the bus instead.

"I always see if you can save gas as a good thing. I mean bottom dollar every month helps," bus rider, Todd Parker said.

According to the latest APTA Transit Savings Report, people in a two-person household can save an average of 97-hundred dollars per year by using only one car.
