CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Before the thaw hits one Eagle Scout is looking at the food for a Cedar Rapids community garden.
Today at the Olivet Neighborhood Mission along 10th Street NW
people came together to recognize the ambition*behind this place for produce. 15-year-old Peyton McGuire is an Eagle Scout and this has been his project for the last 18 months.

"They can grow food in these garden boxes so that they can, essentially, grow their own food so that when it's time to harvest the food and eat, it's for people who don't have enough money to go to the store," McGuire said.

McGuire was also quick to credit the others in Troop 766, along with his family, who he said was most supportive.
