Non-Winning Powerball Tickets Can Still Get You a Prize

Even if your Powerball ticket is a loser, you could still win some travel deals to Iowa destinations. Today, the Iowa Lottery and tourism officials announced a plan aimed at encouraging you to travel the state this summer.
Starting Sunday, you can redeem your powerball ticket for discounts on admissions to attractions like the National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium in Dubuque.
Iowa tourism officials say that the promotion is a win-win for Iowa Lottery customers.
Colleen Murphy, the Iowa Tourism Office's Partnerships Manager, says "You are going to win either way. You spend that dollar and you're going to get twenty dollars off maybe something like Honey Creek down at Lake Rathbun and be able to have a whole new experience down there now that its open. Or who knows - you could win the jackpot."
