Tuesday Vote for State Representative

CEDAR RAPIDS - An election Tuesday in Linn County could swing momentum for parties heading into next year's state elections.

Voters in House district 33 will pick a new representative.

Democrat Kirsten Running-Marquardt and Republican Joshua Thurston are vying for the seat that covers downtown and southwest Cedar Rapids.

Polls are open from 7:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.

The winner will replace Democrat Dick Taylor who retired from the legislature.
