The Blue Zones Project – How Can Blue Zones Help Me?

Did you know people who live in Blue Zones tend to live about 10 years longer than those in other communities? Did you know Cedar Rapids is competing to become chosen as a Blue Zone demonstration site? These sites will receive additional resources to become healthier communities. Blue Zone Citrus Chicken Salad
Pack Blue Zones foods into this beautiful & flavorful chicken salad! (Serves 5)

All you need:
¾ cup fat-free or light mayonnaise
One 6-oz. container Hy-Vee Light Lemon-flavored yogurt
2 cups cooked chicken; diced or shredded
1 navel orange; sectioned cut into bite-sized pieces
½ cup celery; diced
¼ cup red onion; diced
One 2-ounce package Hy-Vee slivered almonds; toasted, if desired

All you do:
1. Stir together mayonnaise and yogurt in a bowl.
2. Add chicken, orange sections, celery, onion, and almonds. Stir gently until well combined.
3. Serve on a whole grain bread, pita or with whole grain crackers.
