UI Begins Testing H1N1 Vaccine
IOWA CITY - One shot takes researchers a big step closer to finding a vaccine for the H1N1flu.
On Tuesday, University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics started giving the first of two shots to test a new vaccine.
"I don't really feel like I have anything to be scared of. I've been in studies before and the research has been fine and I feel fine after doing them, so you don't know unless you try it," said Marisa Grunder, test patient.
In all, around 130 people are taking part in the test here in Iowa. Marisa Grunder says she hopes her young child can be part of the test later on. And her husband wants to help out too.
