IOWA CITY - Johnson County Public Health will hold its next public clinic for H1N1 vaccine this Saturday, December 5th from 9:00a.m. – 7:00 p.m. This clinic is by appointment only and will be held at the Johnson County Health and Human Services Building located at 855 South Dubuque Street in Iowa City.
Only persons in the following priority groups will be eligible to receive vaccine at this time:
- pregnant women;
- household contacts and caregivers, including daycare providers, for children younger than 6 months of age;
- health care and emergency medical services personnel with direct patient care or contact with infectious materials;
- all children from 6 months through 12 years of age,
- persons aged 13 through 64 years who have health conditions associated with higher risk of medical complications from influenza.
- Children 9 years old and younger who need the second dose.
A change from earlier in the week is the clinic is now accepting children 9 years old and younger who need a scond dose.

Calls will be answered in the order they are received. No messages can be left on the appointment line. Those persons coming to the clinic are encouraged to visit the JCPH website by clicking here and print out a consent form to fill out before they arrive in order to speed up their movement through the clinic.
Several doctors’ offices are helping in the effort to vaccinate priority groups. If you are an established patient of one of the following providers and are in one of the priority groups, please call your provider for H1N1 vaccination. Those providers are:
