This JustIN: Crowne Plaza Follow Up

June 5, 2008:  For weeks I've had employees from the Crowne Plaza Hotel e-mail me and call me about their paycheck problem.  At first we didn't know the scope of the problem.  Today we learned that 77 checks had bounced during the last 4 pay periods.  The company said that wasn't a big number, considering they cut 140 checks every two weeks.  Employees I spoke with disagreed.

Here's what I kept to release on the web.  Peter Mathon, who represents the hotel company, said that owner Charles Suresh Morais wrote everyone an apology.  They also gave everyone a $30 bonus for their trouble with the checks, whether the employee was one of the 77 or not.

None of the employees told me about the apology or the $30 bonus.
