It’s time for the Bogey blog!
My life has been rather hectic the past few months, but I think now things are calming down a bit. I left my camera at my parent’s house in Des Moines when we were there last month for our at-home-wedding-reception, so I haven’t been able to snap any new photos, but I thought I’d at least share these.
Many of you know I got married in August. But what you may or may not know is that my husband and I picked up a little puppy 4 days after the wedding. It was like getting married wasn’t chaotic enough!
So we got back from Mexico and drove up to Savage, Minnesota, where we had tracked down a wire haired fox terrier breeder.
Ladies and gentlemen, I introduce you to Bogey, our little baby!

He’s almost completely potty trained, and we’re in the puppy class at PetSmart, so now he’s learned how to sit, lay, and roll over! Let me tell you, having a dog is a complete challenge for me, seeing as before I had two cats that liked to sleep in the sun when I wanted to nap, and also knew where the litter box was. Having this dog is one of the most exhausting/fun/exciting times of my life!
He's chewing on one of his favorite things, a Greenie! My dad asked me why we named him Bogey instead of Par. We said "He's way more than a par!"
A lot of people have thought we named him after Humphrey Bogart, but that's not the case here! He's named after the score we both can't seem to shake in golf, the one-over-Bogey.

Here you can see him eating out of Matt's hand...and obviously he's gentle! He does have his hyper moments though! He'll just start running in a circle, and then pounce!

And here he is just being cute! He loves to have his belly rubbed, and now is to the point when we grab the leash he runs for the front door. He LOVES walks!
And for anyone who was curious, my two cats are now living in California with my sister. My husband is seriously allergic, so it was fortunate that she could take them--and wanted them! I do miss having them around! But now I've gone from being a crazy cat lady to a crazy dog lady!
Anyone have any pet-parenting tips? I'd be happy to take them :-)
Also, in case you're wondering why I haven' written about celebs much lately, it's because I've actually found what's in the news entertainment wise to be pretty non-interesting. Other than Lindsey Lohan and her girlfriend, Britney putting out a new album, and Kim Kardashian being kicked off "Dancing with the Stars", I just haven't felt like there's been any good content. Must be a dry spell! But rest assured, I'm keeping my eye out for the latest and greatest hollywood buzz!

The best advice i can give you is to watch the TV show The Dog Wisperer or get his books. He gives you advice on everything you can think of on dogs.

Go easy on the table scraps for him - small dogs can be prone to problems stemming from too many table scraps. Veggies are okay - my Chihuahua LOVES greenbeans and cooked celery. But there are veggies that are bad for dogs too - like onions. Google to find a list, it's worth it. Be of luck with Bogey and keep the blogs coming!
