Ashley's Angle 6/18/2008

By Ashley Hinson

I think this picture, courtesy of Rob Merritt of Theatre Cedar Rapids, kind of conveys how I'm feeling right now. KCRG TV-9 Has pretty much been on the air non-stop, updating all the latest information.

Anyway, for now, this says how I'm feeling.... I'll blog more later about the experiences we've had.

~Ashley~

I am going to say Great job Ashley we appreciate everything KCRG did during the flood and this comment goes to 'not surprised" she wasn't saying she had been on the air non stop she was saying KCRG had been on the air non stop and just because she wasn't in front of the camera doesn't mean she wasn't working off the camera! Great Job Ashley keep up the great work!!!

Ashley, you did an amazing job covering the floods of 2008! The entire staff, both in front and behind the camera, did an OUTSTANDING job covering all of the many towns affected, the heartwarming stories, the recovery, etc! I used to work in production at a local tv station, so I know just how hard it is to pull off what KCRG did. HUGE kudos go out to you, the other anchors, reporters, producers, directors, camera ops, etc!!!!!!

Actually, KCRG TV 9 HAS been on the air non-stop, pretty much or otherwise. She didn't say what was on, specifically. But yeah, the news team was on A LOT and did an awesome freakin' job!

AM- they were on the air almost non-stop. they didn't take commercial breaks and worked very hard bringing us new information right as it came in. i am grateful for their hard work. it's too bad you can't recognize that...

Nice image Ashley. Kudos to you and the entire crew at KCRG for your coverage. We were glued for 2 days straight, learning what was going on and feeling utter disbelief at the images. But what do ya do? Time to do work. PS. Get a life "not surprised". Your grab for attention is as shallow as they come. Talk about manufactured drama! Besides, if you could read better you'd catch the caveat- "pretty much been on the air non-stop". Silly little troll, go back under your rock now.

embellishing the truth a little aren't we? pretty sure you haven't been on the air non-stop. Might have been on a lot, but non-stop? Come on, dramatizing things for the sake of attention doesn't seem ethical to me.
