Two Injured When Driver Falls Asleep at Wheel
DUBUQUE COUNTY, Iowa - Two people were injured in Dubuque County Wednesday when a driver fell asleep at the wheel.
The crash happened on highway 52 and Clear Lake Road. That's north of Dyersville. The Iowa State Patrol says 66 year old Jennifer Zieman of Postville fell asleep and veered into the shoulder. 61 year old David Beidler of Dubuque was parked on the shoulder working on his vehicle. Zieman's vehicle struck Beidler's. Beidler was then pushed by his vehicle. Both Beidler and Zieman were transported to the hospital by ambulance. The Dubuque County Sheriff's Department, Guttenberg Ambulance, Mercy Ambulance and Holy Cross Ambulance all assisted. Most Popular |
