Highway 151 Open After Crash Shuts Parts Down for Hours in Dubuque

DUBUQUE, Iowa - Traffic is flowing again on Highway 151 after a crash shut part of it down for several hours Sunday.

Dubuque Police said the crash happened around 2:35 p.m. Sunday. Officers re-routed traffic in the area until after 7:00 p.m.

Jordan Timmerman, 19, of Dubuque, somehow lost control of his vehicle, crossed the center median, and hit another vehicle head-on. The other driver, William Hare, 62, of Maquoketa, is being treated for his injuries at Finley Hospital. He suffered some broken bones, but his injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.

Timmerman and his passenger also went to the hospital with minor injuries. They've since been released.

Police said charges are pending, as they continue to investigate the crash.
