SAGEVILLE, Iowa (AP) — A snowmobile collision has injured two men in eastern Iowa and caused $15,000 damage.

The Dubuque County Sheriff's office says the two snowmobiles collided in a field near Sageville around 6 p.m. Saturday.

Officials say Robert Freiburger, 44, of Mount Vernon, tried to slow down before the accident and slid sideways into the path of Chad Donovan's snowmobile. Donovan, 22, is from North Liberty, Iowa.

Both men were thrown from their snowmobiles as a result of the crash. They were treated at area hospitals for nonlife-threatening injuries.
