DUBUQUE, Iowa - A Dubuque girl will shave her head next month in effort to raise money for cancer research.

Rita Jones, 8, is teaming up with the Loras College Baseball team to raise money for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation. The St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer-driven charity that funds for childhood cancer research.

Jones first learned about St. Baldrick’s while flipping through her “American Girl” Magazine. So far, Jones has raised about $800.

Jones, members of the Loras Baseball team and members of the Coe College baseball team will shave their heads after a double header on Saturday April, 14th in Dubuque.
