Child Fatally Shoots Northeast Iowa Woman With Handgun
DUNDEE, Iowa - State investigators say a 10-year-old child who was handling a loaded handgun fatally shot a woman inside a house at 1749 120th Street in Dundee, in northeast Iowa.
The Iowa Department of Public Safety says Amy Hettinger, 41, was shot late Thursday afternoon. Neighbors confirmed to KCRG.com, the 10-year-old -child is the victim's daughter. State investigators determined the shooting was an accident. An autopsy is pending. The case has been forwarded to the Delaware County Attorney's office for further review. Most Popular |
