ASBURY, Iowa - Authorities in Dubuque County are investigating a shooting in Asbury.
At approximately 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Adam Podnar, 60, walked into a Casey's General Store with a gun shot wound to the abdomen.
Podnar told investigators his son shot him during a family dispute at a home in the 16000 block of Clover Lane in Asbury.
Investigators went to the home, where they arrested Anthony Podnar, 31. He is in the Dubuque County Jail, facing charges of attempted murder and going armed with intent.
The Sheriff's Office said he shot his father with a .22 caliber rifle. Podnar also threatened his brother, Alexander, 41, with the weapon.
Adam Podnar remains in the hospital, where he's listed in critical condition.
