FAYETTE COUNTY, Iowa - A young man from Maynard has been arrested after authorities said he tried to abduct a little girl.
Ethan A. Fuller, 19, has been charged with one count of attempting to entice a minor. He is accused of trying to convince a 10-year-old girl to get into his vehicle Thursday in Maynard.
According to the Fayette County Sheriff's Office, the girl reported that a man pulled up to her in a vehicle while she was walking home from school, got out of his vehicle and tried to "entice" her into his vehicle. The girl told investigators she refused and ran away, but the same man confronted her and two other juveniles a couple blocks away, again attempting to convince them to get in the vehicle. All three children ran away and reported the incident to their parents, authorities said.
Fuller was arrested Friday after deputies worked with the West Central Community School District to identify the suspect.
Fuller remained in custody Monday at the Fayette County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bond.
