Waterloo Police Seize Meth After Traffic Stop

WATERLOO, Iowa - Waterloo Police said they seized a large amount of meth after making a traffic stop Wednesday morning.
According to a press release, police said they stopped 45-year-old Geoffrey S. Gaffney, of Waterloo, for speeding on Franklin Street at 12:25 a.m. During the traffic stop, police found a large amount of meth in Gaffney's car.
Waterloo Police Capt. Tim Pillack said the meth hasn't been officially weighed, so officials are not releasing how much was seized.
Gaffney faces charges of possession of meth with intent to deliver and drug tax stamp violation. He remains in the Black Hawk County Jail on a $105,000 bond.
