Waterloo Police Make An Arrest After Shooting
Amos Deering was charged with several felonies including, intimidation with a dangerous weapon, willful injury, felon in possession of a firearm and possession with intent to deliver crack cocaine. Deering was also charged with misdemeanors for OWI and Driving While License Suspended. Deering was booked into the Black Hawk County Jail on Friday October 19, 2012.

WATERLOO, Iowa – Waterloo police made an arrest after an early morning shooting that left one man injured.
According to a press release, police were called to the 400 block of Lane Street for a report of shots fired at 2:30 a.m. on Friday.
During the investigation, officers found the shooting victim at Allen Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Shauntez Dewand Coffer, 23, suffered two gunshot wounds in his upper torso.
Officers found the shooting suspect during a traffic stop. Officers found a .25 caliber handgun and a small amount of crack cocaine.
Amos Dee Deering, 30, was charged with several felonies including, intimidation with a dangerous weapon, willful injury, and possession with intent to deliver crack cocaine. Deering was booked into the Black Hawk County Jail.
