Waterloo Police Investigate Fatal Shooting
WATERLOO, Iowa - Police are investigating after one man was killed in a Waterloo shooting. Police say it happened behind the apartments at 1211 Langley Road before 7 p.m. Thursday.
Authorities say they found 18-year-old Daequan Campbell laying on the ground near garages at the complex when they responded to a report of shots fired. Campbell was then taken to the Covenant Medical Center with gunshot wounds in his chest and hip. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Officials are not releasing any information on any possible suspects, and no arrests have been made. They say they are continuing to investigate this shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call the Waterloo Police Investigation Division at 319-291-4340, ex. 5003.
