Two Charged with Making Meth in Washington

WASHINGTON, Iowa - Two men face drug charges after search warrants were carried out Thursday in Washington.

David J. Butterbaugh, Jr., 50, and Timothy W. Kukowski, 58, both of Washington, have been charged with conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine. They were each being held at the Washington County Jail on $100,000 bond.

Members of the Washington Louisa County Drug Task Force searched residences at 1003 West Madison Street and 502 North Iowa Avenue in Washington, according to a news release.

Butterbaugh has previous drug convictions, according to Iowa Courts Online.

The charge is a Class B Felony punishable by up to 25 years in prison.
