MASON CITY, Iowa (AP) — The first-degree murder trial of a man charged with killing another man in the parking lot of a convenience store in Mason City has been delayed.

Jamaal Leslie, 31, is accused in the shooting death of 27-year-old Brandon Crawford last August.

Leslie's trial had been set for March 9 in Cerro Gordo County District Court. The Globe Gazette says a judge on Monday approved a defense motion to postpone it. A new trial date hasn't been set.
