SOLON, Iowa – A Solon man was arrested after allegedly striking two teenagers with a saw blade Monday evening.
Around 7 p.m., police responded to an incident at 310 S. Dubuque Street. Officials said Courtney J. Michel, 23, of Solon, struck a 13-year-old in the upper arm with a saw blade "without justification," and a 15-year-old in the forearm. The teenagers received lacerations, but officials said the injuries were minor. Authorities said Michel continued to torment the 15-year-old by holding the saw blade to the victim’s neck.
Officials said the exact relationship between the victims and Michel is unknown, however they are not his children.
A criminal complaint said the victim’s fear Michel will retaliate against them once he is released from jail. Michel was verbally advised to not have contact with the victims.
Michel could face charges for assault with use or display of a weapon.
